VISION: KITH AND KIN
28th March 2009
I saw this vision around April 2008.
I saw a group of people.
The Lord Had Told them to go join their brothers and sisters. The group of young men and women, (who looked in the age group of late teens to around 21 years of age) set off on their journey to join their brothers and sisters.
Shortly after they set out, they were met by a group of men and women who were years older than them. These men were clothed in leather with shiny unscratched, stainless steel-looking shields covering their chests. The youngsters were simply dressed in travel clothes.
They stopped the younger group and enquired as to where they were headed.
“The Lord Has Sent us to join with our brothers and sisters”, they replied.
The older men feigned surprise and delight.
“Well, what do you know! Your search ends here! We are your real brothers and sisters!” they exclaimed as they jumped up and down with glee.
The youngsters were convinced these people were who they claimed to be and delighted that they had met up with their brothers and sisters, they too jumped up in glee and embraced the strangers.
The older ones now led them off the path they were traveling on and each one took a youngster to their homes.
The following morning, instead of receiving breakfast all the youngsters, now in their new homes, were directed rather sternly to cook for their leather-clad ‘relatives’ instead. Soon they found that they were heavily laden with serving these elders.
They polished their boots and shields, stored up the water, washed, cleaned and did all menial chores for them.
As they labored and perspired at their menial tasks, each wondered what kind of brothers and sisters the Lord Had Sent them to. They never had proper rest or sleep, food or clothing, but rather whatever money and goods the Lord Had Given them, were coaxed out of them by the elders to pay the ‘relatives’’ debts.
The youngsters now felt heavy of heart. They looked like slaves rather than the brothers and sisters of these elders who loved to lord over them.
(These elders would have them run in front of their fancy horse-driven coaches, to impress all and sundry.) In everything the youngsters did for these newfound relatives, the motive of the elders was that youngsters should do their utmost to make them look good before others.
One particular day, the youngsters were struggling at their tasks, and were perspiring profusely, as they strained to complete the work at hand. There was no joy in their labor. They looked forlorn. Whilst they lingered in this state of despondency, suddenly they looked up as they heard the Lord Say to them, “ What are you doing?”
“Lord,” each replied, “You Sent us to join our brothers and sisters but ever since we met them they have made us work as slaves.”
They heard the Lord Reply, “These are not your sisters and brothers, just look closely, do they in any way look like your relatives?”
The youngsters now stared intently at these leather clad pretenders. These older ones did not hear or see the Lord. They were oblivious to what was transpiring between the youngsters and the Lord.
As the youngsters examined the pretenders, they saw that there was in no way any resemblance between them. These so-called ‘brother and sisters’ had nothing in common with them.
They were ashamed now that they had failed to recognize these pretenders for who they were…………mere strangers, who meant them ill-will.
They were people who wanted to drive them away from the path that the Lord Had Directed them to travel on, and hinder them from joining their true brothers and sisters.
Each youngster repented before the Lord for allowing themselves to be misled in this way and not examining the leather-clad ‘relatives’ more closely, when they had first approached them, and for foolishly serving them as slaves.
Now having heard the Lord’s Voice, each youngster felt refreshed and renewed.
“Where then are our true brothers and sisters?” Each asked the Lord, now with great eagerness.
“Look there” Came the Reply. They saw the Lord Beckoning a group who were a great distance away, Directing them to come forth.
The group, who were a distance away, rejoiced when they saw the Lord Beckoning them to come forth. They left all they were doing and ran towards the young group.
The Lord Led the group of youngsters back to the path.
The youngsters ran towards those whom the Lord Had Beckoned forth. The two groups met halfway and they kissed and embraced each other.
Then they heard the Lord Say, “these are your kith and kin.”
